How to read the results
- Face value is what the headline is worth: spins × value, or the bonus cash.
- Wagering to do is how much you must stake before withdrawing, on average. For free spins it depends on how much the spins win, so it varies from player to player.
- Average cash-out is the mean across all simulated players after wagering and the max cash-out. This is the fair value of the offer.
- Chance of any cash-out is the share of players who finish with something to withdraw. For offers with wagering it is often well below half.
- Median is the result of the player in the middle. When it is £0, most players walk away with nothing even though the average is positive.
How the calculator works
Each simulated player first plays the free spins, or starts with the bonus cash. If the offer has wagering, the player then keeps spinning at your chosen stake until the requirement is met or the balance runs out. Whatever is left is capped at the max cash-out.
Every spin is drawn from a payout table for the chosen volatility, scaled so that it returns exactly the RTP you entered over the long run. Low volatility pays small amounts often; high volatility pays nothing most of the time and occasionally a large multiple of the stake.
UK limits built into the calculator
- Wagering above 10x is flagged, because UK-licensed casinos cannot set it after 19 January 2026.
- A stake above £5 is flagged, because online slots in Great Britain are limited to £5 a spin, or £2 if you are 18 to 24.
- For bonus cash, wagering is counted on the bonus amount; for free spins, on the spin winnings, which is how almost every UK offer is written.
A bonus is worth a few pounds at most. If you find yourself depositing to "finish the wagering" or to chase the cap, stop and take a break. Safer gambling tools
